Good Friday
Last night’s Maundy Thursday service was powerful and meaningful, and thank you to all who made it happen, particularly our Deacons and Karli and the choir. At Noon today we will offer a time for Good Friday reflection on Jesus’ passion and death. The holy weekend continues with Sunday Sunrise at 6:15 at Fountain Hill Cemetery, Deep River, and then our 10:00 morning worship at the United Church.
Later this Spring we will be receiving new members into our fellowship. If you or someone you know might be interested in membership, please reach out to me or call or email the church office.
Speaking of the office, Sally will be on vacation until Thursday April 20. I will keep my usual hours, Wednesday – Friday 8:30 – 12:30 (with the exception of Friday April 14 when I will be out of town all day). We will check voice messages regularly.
Lastly, the Rummage Sale is fast approaching! This year the Rummage Sale will be held on Saturday, April 29th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. We will begin accepting donations on Saturday, April 22nd through Thursday April 27th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. There are sign up sheets in Fellowship Hall and the Narthex for people to volunteer for set-up, working the day of the sale, and to bring baked goods.
