Simon’s Says
The second of our two candidates for the position of Music Director in our church will join us this Sunday August 30. Corbin Beisner will be on the bench (both piano and organ) providing service music for us, leading our hymns and accompanying a small sample of our church choir. A brief biography for Corbin can be found in this week’s bulletin. As with last week, we ask you arrive early to enjoy the entire prelude, and remain for the postlude. The Search Committee has put forward two fine musicians for our consideration, and we invite your feedback and impressions of both. Following Sunday’s service, we expect to make a decision in a timely manner.
As August draws to a close, this is the last Sunday for 9:00 worship; next week, September 6, we will return to our customary 10:00 hour. Then the following Sunday, September 13, join us for our annual Rally Day Potluck Picnic following worship; this is always a time of good food and wonderful fellowship, and we look forward the year ahead of us with all its promise and possibility!
And don’t forget, this weekend is the Chester Fair – we hope to see you there.
