The Villager Voice

Today must be a good day for breakfast – the Villager was packed this morning! Then again, it may just be that with the weather turning cold, the usual al fresco crowd has moved indoors. In any event, here are a few reminders for this weekend.

First and foremost, please come enjoy yourself at our Tellabration event in the Fellowship Hall Sunday afternoon at 4:00. Storytellers Ann Shapiro and Margie Warner will spin delightful tales for us at this family oriented occasion. It is always a delight to open our doors to the community, so be sure to bring a neighbor or friend along with you.

Second, this weekend we set our clocks back to Standard Time. Many years ago I had a Deacon knocking on my front door on the Sunday of the time change wondering where everybody was; he had forgotten to reset his clock and showed up an hour early – don’t be that Deacon! (But if you are, then feel free to get the coffee going…)

Finally, do remember to vote on Tuesday. Casting a ballot is, in my opinion, one of the most important rights and obligations we have as citizens. I’m proud to say I have voted in every election since I became of age lo those many years ago, and intend to do so again on November 7. I hope you will too.
