Simon’s Says

Happy twelfth and final day of Christmas (just ignore those drummers in the background)!  I hope you all had a blessed and enjoyable season, as we walk into the new year in hope and gladness.  I also wanted to thank you for your cards and thoughtful gifts, they are much appreciated.

A memory that popped into my newsfeed yesterday reminded me that six years ago we were all grounded by a snowstorm (it was also a Friday, if memory serves).  Looks like history may repeat itself, although I’m thinking the coming weekend storm – conveniently scheduled for Saturday night into Sunday morning – won’t be that bad for those of us near the coast.  So Yes, we will have in-person worship this weekend.  However, I strongly urge caution:  please do not come out if you don’t feel safe or comfortable doing so.  This is, after all, one of the benefits of having remote worship, and we’re happy to have you join us from the safety and comfort of your own home.  Also, we’ve decided to postpone the Remembrance Tree service to next Sunday, when more of you will be able to be present with us.

So one way or another we will see ( or “see”) you on Sunday.  Links to the bulletin and service are here:
