Princeton Postcard ~ from Alan

I thought I would share some photos of where I’ve been spending my Study Week on the campus of Princeton Theological Seminary.

Princeton 80

This is Alexander Hall, the first, and for a long time, the only building of the Seminary.  PTS was established in 1812;  Alexander was built and dedicated in 1815, and yes, this is the original, although it has undergone multiple renovations since.

Princeton 1 80

Miller Chapel, where daily chapel services are held.  I was fortunate to be present this week at the installation of 3 professors and 2 new trustees.

Princeton 3 80

Speer and Luce Libraries house more than one million volumes and underwent extensive renovations completed in 2012.

Princeton 2 80

The organ at Miller Chapel.

Princeton 4 80

Pastor, author and theologian The Rev. Dr. Iain R. Torrance was President of PTS from 2004 to 2012.  This 4 story atrium is an anchor space at Speer & Luce.

Princeton 5 80

Part of the Periodical Collections Room where I spent the better part of the week. The Library currently holds 1064 periodicals.  And yes, I did.
